Tara A. Owen is founder and president of TAO Communications, a professional services firm that specializes in executive communications.

Ms. Owen has been channeling chief executives for 30 years and has written dozens of keynote speeches and by-lined articles for such audiences as the World Economic Forum, the National Press Club, the Council on Foreign Relations, TED, Harvard Business Review and the U.S. Congress.  She is facile with multiple communications media and conversant in the language of even the most arcane industries.

She has led the executive communications efforts of a major management consulting firm (Booz & Co., now Strategy&), a leading strategic communications agency (Robinson Lerer Sawyer Miller, now Finsbury and Weber Shandwick), and a massive financial services conglomerate (Prudential).

Since 1996, Ms. Owen has been self-incorporated and has ghostwritten hundreds of speeches, articles, scripts, reports, and book chapters for Fortune 500 C-suite executives across every sector. 

A graduate of Yale (BA, East Asian Studies) and Columbia (MBA), Ms. Owen also read Oriental Studies and PPE (Philosophy, Politics & Economics) at Oxford University as a Visiting Student in Oriel College. 

Having recently launched the last of four children into the world, Ms. Owen and her husband now play parent to two shelter dogs in St. Augustine, Florida.
